On December 21, the official Sakura Revolution website updated with a new letter from producer Taku Kihara and creative director Daisuke Ike. In the update, Kihara announced that the game crossed 500,000 downloads since its launch on December 15.
In addition, the letter states that Sega and Delightworks will begin implementing character-specific scenarios in a coming update. The scenarios will tell stories that dive deeper into how the characters live, and what they hope to achieve. According to Kihara, the content will go deeper than the current conversational content offered via the main screen.
Moreover, Sega and Delightworks are planning a story event that will focus on an unspecified member of BLACK, which is expected to run by the end of the year. The third chapter will be rolled out in early 2021.
The next Sakura Revolution streaming show was planned for December 28, 2020 at 16:00 JST (12/28/2020 at 2:00AM EST / 12/27/2020 at 11:00PM PST). A video listing for the event is currently live on the game’s official YouTube channel.
