On April 12, Japanese gaming news outlet Famitsu reported that a series of art exhibitions for artist and illustrator Hidenori Matsubara. Three events, which are being dubbed the “Sakura Wars Art Festival 2020 Plus”, will feature a series of roughly thirty original illustrations and prints from the Sakura Wars franchise. Several new pieces will be featured as part of the show.

Three locations are planned for the exhibitions:

Gallery Epicute (Tokyo): 4/29/201 – 5/1/2021
Briese Plaza (Osaka): 5/14/2021 – 5/16/2021
Wink Aichi (Nagoya): 5/28/2021 – 5/30/2021

Talk shows are planned, though specific details have yet to be announced. In addition, event-exclusive merchandise and lithographs will be available for purchase. The first fifty customers who spend more than 1,500 yen will be invited to an autograph session with Matsubara.
